HOW TO BUILD YOUR OWN CORNHOLE BOARD
Ever wanted to build your own cornhole board but don’t know where to start? You’re not alone. From choosing the right wood to getting the perfect angle on the legs, a “simple” project can turn into a weekend-long puzzle.
That’s why we created the DIY Cornhole Board Kit — everything you need to build an ACA-regulation board, without the guesswork.
Just follow the step-by-step guide to assemble the pre-cut pieces using the included hardware — no complicated measurements or power tools needed. Once built, the real fun begins: customizing your boards with your favorite colors, team logos, or designs.

STEP-BY-STEP ASSEMBLY GUIDE
1. Prepare Your Workspace
Lay out all your parts and hardware on a flat table or workbench. Everything is pre-drilled, so you’ll only need a few basic tools.
2. Attach the Frame
Place the top playing surface face down on your table.
Position the left and right side panels along the edges.
Add the cross braces between them to form the rectangular frame.
Insert the provided screws and nuts using your square bit and tighten them just enough to hold everything in place.
💡Tip: Keep the frame slightly loose at first to adjust alignment easily.
3. Mount the Bottom Surface
Flip the assembly so the underside is facing up.
Position the bottom panel — there should be about a ½-inch lip on all sides.
Once centered, screw it down securely.
4. Assemble the Legs
Insert the bolt from the outside of the board through the leg and the interior block.
Use your crescent wrench and Allen wrench to tighten.
Adjust the tightness so the leg moves smoothly — not too loose, not too tight.
✅ The leg should swing out easily but stay in place when set down.
5. Add the Cross Brace
Attach the final cross brace for extra stability.
Tighten all remaining screws and bolts securely.
6. Repeat for the Second Board
Follow the same steps for the second cornhole board — then you’re ready to play!
✅ Final Check
- Make sure both boards sit flat and steady.
- Legs fold in and out smoothly.
- Hardware is snug but not over-tightened.
Now your DIY Cornhole Boards are complete! Customize them with paint, decals, or stain to make them uniquely yours — then get ready for backyard fun and friendly competition.
