American Cornhole Association Plans a New Set of Official Cornhole Rules

The leader in official cornhole rules will be expanding their authority into new rules created for a team environment.

The American Cornhole Association (ACA) has announced today, a plan to expand their offering of official cornhole rules. While the new rules have not yet been published, the ACA has announced that they have been developing and testing a new format that accommodates for a team environment in the game of cornhole. The full publication of the new rules is expected to become formalized and ready for public adoption by the ACA during the fourth quarter of 2022.

By expanding into team rules and regulations for the game of cornhole, the ACA is staying true to the original mission of the organization – to establish standardized rules for how to play cornhole, as well as increase the popularity of the game.

The team play official rules will fulfill both sides of that mission. These rules will create a new gameplay standard and a new popularity for cornhole around the country. The ACA aims to bring this set of rules to leagues, tournaments, and a variety of both professional and recreational organizations around the country.

“We really see no limit to how far these rules can go,” says Eric Marvin, President of the ACA, “We know cornhole is a growing sport across the country. By bringing people together into a team atmosphere, we hope these rules become a standard for cornhole across the US.”

While other cornhole organizations have prioritized professional-play and country-wide ranking systems, the ACA continues to pursue ways to make the game of cornhole fun and accessible for people of all ages, gender, and experiences. The new team play rules will expand on the accessibility of cornhole to everyone.

“These rules can bring people together like this sport has never been before. The ACA has always been cornhole for the people and these rules will elevate that connection to another level,” says Marvin.

The American Cornhole Association was founded in 2003 as the first corn-toss organization in the United States. Since inception of the organization, the ACA was the first to communicate formal standards and rules for how to play cornhole, establishing itself as the “Original and Official Governing Body of Cornhole.” The company has evolved in many ways, but one thing has remained consistent throughout – providing newcomers and cornhole enthusiasts with numerous ways to learn and enjoy the game of cornhole.

Today, the ACA’s “Official Cornhole Rules” is a top destination in the cornhole industry for people seeking to expand their knowledge of the game of cornhole, guiding millions of players every year.
